@Connor Task Manager shows the same numbers as Process Explorer.

This memory is definitely used.

OK, it's not this. When I start the VM, ProcessExplorer shows an overall increase in Commit by 1.1 GB or so, and the Physical usage also goes up by 1.1 GB. But not a single counter on the new process has those kinds of numbers.

It does indeed appear that VMMap has absolutely nothing anywhere to count reserved memory. I didn't notice that before. Ironic how Mark bashes Task Manager for using inconsistent terminology and then himself counting reserved memory together with committed memory...

comment Blockiness in many flash videos (looks like a corrupted video would)
9.85 Mbps / 0.33 Mbps; packet loss 0%; ping 250ms; jitter 70ms (being unusually bad this morning) The video still plays just fine on my Win32 laptop on this same connection.

Some good ideas you're offering them, will run through them. My browser is 32-bit, so it's running a 32-bit version of Flash.

@harrymc yes, the browser is 32-bits. I've already got K-Lite Codec Pack (my favourite pack), but I'm pretty certain Flash doesn't use them.

It's not freezing like that. I know those freezes very well, and they don't add anything other than an annoying delay; never blockiness. I've got a Core2 Quad Q6600 with 8GB of RAM and an ATI HD5770.

@Chealion Firefox's "Plugins" tab mentions "10.1.82.76", and then one line below it "10.1.r82".
