comment How to get the console o/p on Linux terminal that is lost due to scroll over
Once it's scroll out of the scroll buffer, it's gone. Re-run the program, and this time capture the output into a file. Use "./myprog | tee foo" so you can see it and capture it into a file at the same time.

comment my up and down arrows don't work in vim
@Randy, by that logic "how to adjust my Aeron chair" is a programming question because most Aeron chairs are used by programmers. This question isn't about setting up macros or fixing the language specific configuration, it's about basic vim setup.

comment what's the HTML entity code for “«”
You're being voted down because this isn't a programming question, and the answer is easily found by googling.

comment Linux rm non-interactive command
The main reason it's stupid is that it changes the default behaviour of a standard command. So either rm doesn't work the way you expect it because it's interactive, or it stops working the way you expect it when you go to another system because you started expecting it to be interactive.

comment What is the equivalent of Solaris's cu command in Linux?
That link is to a Linux manual page for cu. You don't see it because you haven't installed the package yet, but Debian and Ubuntu both have cu packages.

You know, if you answer the question here, it hardly gives the original questioner or anybody else for that matter, any incentive to ask the question where it belongs, on superuser.com.

Unless you're writing a program to access the email, this is off topic.
