comment How to properly copy/paste code from .pdf to a new file open on terminal?
I believe I found the issue: Use straight quotation marks (" ") when you’re typing code. (...) In InDesign, you can change a preference setting to determine which quotation marks are used. You can read more about it in the Use quotation marks Help topic. reference: blogs.adobe.com/indesigndocs/2009/05/5_typing_rules.html - thank you both.

@Daniel Beck - Actually, I believe typographical quotation was indeed used.I've update my question with an snapshot image of the pdf contents text.

I guess the original file was created in InDesign. So the problem must rely on that program, or is there any option on .pdf export in order to keep things straight ?

Thanks. I believe I have no write access but, I'm using iterm2 with solarize. If I do ls --color what colors will it use ? Can we do something like export TERM =xterm-color or we can't do this since this is on our remote machine?

ls -G don't show colors. If I do ls --color I get some. I don't know if the server shell as CLICOLOR and LSCOLORS set. If I echo CLICOLOR and LSCOLORS I got an empty line with nothing displayed.

comment How to sort first directories then files etc… when using “ls” in Unix
unfortunately, this doesn't work on osx terminal, since -- option is not available.

If I simple do: ls -la --group-directories-first it doesn't work. Perhaps it's a mac osx limitation that doesn't other on some others nix distros.

Doesn't work. ls: illegal option -- - usage: ls [-ABCFGHLOPRSTUWabcdefghiklmnopqrstuwx1] [file ...]

Those are related with permissions on that folder.

I've created a .bash_profile and place your lines inside. That worked. Some of my directories, not all, appear as a yellow/gold background - can you tell me why? Thanks.

Perhaps we can just create it ?
