comment Is there anyway to simulate Windows 8 running off a microSD card? (Limit the I/O speed)
I asked the linked question, and was quite happy with my Windows 7 VM using a class 10 64gb SD card. I used it primarily for testing various browser setups (I did webdevelopment at the time) I too am planning on "upgrading" to a nifty mini drive w/64gb microSD in my new retina 15".

When I was using a standard SD card, I was NOT comfortable leaving it in all the time. I carried it in the laptop bag.

Well, this isn't exactly the news I was hoping for - But I've been playing around with VirtualBox some more, and I find it runs windows exceptionally quickly and smoothly. Once I cloned my virtual hard drive to the SD card (which is only class 4, yikes) it took an enormously long time to do anything, but was still usable. I will purchase a high speed SD card, and I think that will suit my needs. But this would have been cooler :)
