comment Not receiving emails in Outlook 2007
Mails that cannot be delivered will keep on trying until it eventually delivers or untill the timeout has been reached (in most cases 2 or 3 days). This means that every time a mail is offered to the recipient mail server and it's not accepted, the next try time will increase. You can witness this behavior when mails start to come in gradually. Mails which have been sent last (f.e. 5 minutes before the problem resolves itself, will get to you quicker than mails sent 3 hours ago). Try to capture that behavior, it's good evidence towards you mail hoster.

@MátéJuhász: No, it seems I don't. Horizontal lines seem to be the worst.

@MátéJuhász: Haven't stumbled across that one and this is indeed related. But the tests he/she describes, don't match what I'm experiencing.

comment Excel autocomplete/ suggestion list. Not a drop down
Agree with CharlieRB. As a solution, the only thing I can think of is making a predefined list, f.e. in column A and hide the rows that contain the data. You'll notice that in the cells in that column, you'll have autocomplete. Just make sure you don't have empty cells in between them, that will break autocomplete functionality.

comment Extract multiple substrings from Excel cell
The use of VBA depends solely how strict you can predict the format of the codes. You've confirmed the format to be xxxx-x-xxxx, but if you can tell us if the codes always have the -U- in the middle, you don't need regex and no VBA, pure formulas will work.

Well, if you really not want to right click and select download as, you could still rewrite the left click funtion (javascript) on your small html website so it does the right click but on left click.

comment Is there any way to view Chrome browser notifications history?
Doesn't seem like it. Looking at this post (theverge.com/2015/10/14/9531133/…), they rearranged their notification policy and removed it from desktop to put it on individual webpages. The only thing to access new notifications is to click the bell on a google page.

comment Windows Vista to 10 upgrade using windows 7 key?
Upgrade from windows 7 to 10 depends on windows updates, which without win 7 install will not be present. I'd recommend installing Win 7 first, it doesn't take that much time anyway.

comment Can I temporarily put a 2.5“ HDD into a 3.5” USB enclosure?
As soon as we get an error code on an integrated test like that, it's best to replace the drive. Chance of it being wiring is very slim. But as already answered, for short tests like this, it won't harm. In worst case, you could use some tape to hold it in place in a bigger case. Know that there are brackets to hold 2,5" drives in 3,5" provided spaces.

Depending on the manufacturer of your laptop, there should be a hdd test accessible through startup menu. For example HP has a menu diagnostic tools when F9 is pressed on startup. Look for the options at startup of your computer. That way, you don't need to do any physical work to test the HDD.
