Developer since round about 1998. Minor "fun" developing projects done before that.

Experienced mostly in Java, PHP and Python. But you can throw pretty much anything else at me. Chances that I've written a small application in it is high. Lua? Lisp? Clips? Blaise? SAS? and many more in my repertoire!

Apart from software development, I have a very good knowledge of Linux server administration.

Dedicated VIM and Linux user.

Any questions?

I also tried to run without rc-file (added to the end of the question). The problem still persists, even without rc-file. This is becoming increasingly bizarre...

yes. that's me. If I look what process is listening on 6013, it shows a process from someone else. I'll update the question in a second.

comment How to clear DNS cache in Ubuntu?
Out of curiosity, I am on 14.04 and running nslookup tells me that the response comes from server 127.0.0.1. But - to my knowledge - I have no DNS caching installed (neither nscd nor dnsmasq). I'm on Kubuntu... could this be a KDE Network Manager thing?

@zeldarulez Will do! I'll try it this evening. And thanks for the other SE link. I did not know it existed :)

Interesting. --disable-translate was not listed in --help :)

comment mumble: how do I send people to AFK after X minutes of not doing anything?
@quackquixote Well, how do you flag it for migration? I am also sharing the view that this should be an SF question, as it clearly has to do with server config. Also, as little as I know of mumble, you might be required to do some scripting. Unfortunately, mumble uses ZeroC Ice for that. Which is quite complex for simple scripting.

Thanks. Going to the adobe settings page and enabling the "Always allow" option for the sites in questions worked perfectly for me :)
