almost! The problem with this solution is that when somebody's name is (for example) "Johnson", his age would be be confused with someone who's name is "John". Thoughts?

@EricF The screenshot in the question is provided based on dummy data. In reality, large raw data comes in this format from an external feed that we can't manipulate (so having the space seperated entries is inevitable). I am open for using VBA for this.

Yes, there is. However installing a KDE app on gnome will require many dependencies, thus I don't recommend it. The app you're looking for is Gnote than, mentioned in @Patches answer below.

well.. I asked because I had a Linux Mint 10 32 bits which was using no more than 400Mo memory. And now my 64bit Linux Mint 11 eats 800Mo+ and makes the laptop's fan crazy. So I wondered if 64 bits is the reason :p
