comment What is the “Google Drive Client Native Proxy” Chrome Extension for?
Any idea what repercussions I'll see if I disable it? I can relate with the last (#21) commenter on the Chromium Issue: I was browsing through my chrome extensions and spotted "Google Drive Client Native Proxy" - everything about the entry strikes me as suspicious and a security risk. There are no details whatsoever about this extension, and I had absolutely no notification of it being installed.

comment Setting vim options only for files in a certain directory tree?
In case anyone else runs into an issue of the autocmd method not working, make sure you don't have any symlinks in your path -- I had to put the full path with no symlinks before it would work for me (on OS X 10.9)

+1 for a great editor, viewer and exporter! I'm especially happy with the code block syntax highlighting feature. Thanks for pointing this app out!

comment Static / snow on external display when waking up Mac
I have the same issue with a MBPr'2014 and a Samsung SyncMaster P2570 monitor. I do not have this issue with a different monitor (Dell 2410 if I recall correctly). AppleCare says they're "reporting the issue to engineering, and also recommend reporting the issue to Samsung"

comment How do I fix a “cannot open display” error when opening an X program after ssh'ing with X11 forwarding enabled?
For those having similar issues on OS X, also make sure you have XQuartz installed, otherwise none of these fixes help. (OP's question shows he has XQuartz, so this is more a side note to those having similar issues as I was)

comment Launching Sublime Text 2 on the command line doesn't result in opening the specified file
If subl -n helps when it is closed, I suppose you could create a shell script named subl that first checks if the process is running, and if not, adds -n. A better solution would be Sublime Text 2 adds this feature within its code of course :)

Following on terdon's suggestion, there's also piping the contents to less or more as well

comment Can I force Google Chrome to remember passwords?
This works in the latest version of Chrome (21.0.1180.89) -- right-click on username and password form fields, "Inspect Element". Change autocomplete="off" to autocomplete="on". Then submit form.
