comment How do I fix a “cannot open display” error when opening an X program after ssh'ing with X11 forwarding enabled?
For those having similar issues on OS X, also make sure you have XQuartz installed, otherwise none of these fixes help. (OP's question shows he has XQuartz, so this is more a side note to those having similar issues as I was)

comment Launching Sublime Text 2 on the command line doesn't result in opening the specified file
If subl -n helps when it is closed, I suppose you could create a shell script named subl that first checks if the process is running, and if not, adds -n. A better solution would be Sublime Text 2 adds this feature within its code of course :)

comment Can I force Google Chrome to remember passwords?
This works in the latest version of Chrome (21.0.1180.89) -- right-click on username and password form fields, "Inspect Element". Change autocomplete="off" to autocomplete="on". Then submit form.

Yep, that was exactly what I needed. I realized it shortly after posting my question, hence answering it myself :) I'll give you the right answer though. Thanks for the reply

comment How do I make Vim status line position in OSX the same as Ubuntu?
Discovered this by pasting a "recommended" vim setup into my ~/.vimrc file, and all of a sudden, that feature was there. Clever vim folk.
