Microsoft Excel - Is there a way to insert the $ to a bunch of cells at once? (i.e. A4 to $A$4) Ah, thank you for your insight regardless. |

Microsoft Excel - Is there a way to insert the $ to a bunch of cells at once? (i.e. A4 to $A$4) The current cells I want to copy and paste elsewhere are linked to another tab. Hence, if I want to copy and paste to another part of the new tab, the values will be different. I want to do the $$ing to all the cells I want to copy so the values will be the same as the original tab. |

SVN and odd file Hi paddy, yes I solved it. Turns out it was a filename limit of svn. Checking out just that intermediate folder and its contents, I was able to open the .pptx. Thanks for the help! |

SVN and odd file @ChristopherWilson Yes, this is a Microsoft Office Power Point 2007 file. Not quite sure how to use a hex editor to check to see that the file header is correct, but I deleted it and reupdated, but the same thing happens. This doesn't seem to be a problem for others getting the same file in the svn repository. :(... |

SVN and odd file @paddy: there is no strange character in the filename. I do see the file when I do dir *.pptx in that directory. Strange thing is that I cannot delete the file inside that folder, but I can delete the whole folder. However when I update again, the bizarre behavior seems to be still present. I also don't have the 'Take Ownership' option since I am using Windows XP. Thanks! |

Local area connection failed to enable.. no internet.. please help You were right in that the network card is off. If this helps out anyone else, I am using a Dell laptop and was successful in reinstalling the driver, but had to go into the Dell QuickSet (can be found on the bottom right task bar) and go to Internal Network Card Power Management and click Always Activate on battery. I think my laptop is screwy, but this fix works. |

USB cable is not recognized on Windows Vista but works on Ubuntu Sorry, it is an EPSON CX8400 printer. BTW, I previously used another USB cable and it works going from printer to both Ubuntu and Vista computers. |

Unknown issues installing jdk I haven't touched this problem in awhile.. I think the problem was fixed with something small tucked away in the corner. Try checking to see if your firewall is turned ON. Was that it? |

Unknown issues installing jdk I do have admin rights. It should be the full installer that I got from oracle.com/technetwork/java/javase/downloads/index.html The offline installer looks to only be for the jre and not the jdk. |

Unknown issues installing jdk @mailq - I redownloaded the installer but I am still having the same symptoms. I am assuming that downloading the jdk does not require a jre since I believe the jdk emcompasses the jre as well... |

Unknown issues installing jdk @Aaron Copley - I tried your command, but it seems like no jdk.log is saving in the C:\ directory. (??) |

Unknown issues installing jdk I checked the C:\Program Files\ folder and found a Java folder with empty jre folders and I deleted that. I again retried double-clicking the installer, but it is a no go. :( I don't think the path matters if the jdk isn't even installed yet.. |
