Windows XP Personalized Start Menu: how long until a program is hidden? To be honest I'm trying to see if I can get the Programs menu completely empty. For the programs I launch regularly I use the run command, creating a shortcut if it's not already in the PATH. |

What are the Windows A: and B: drives used for? IIRC Robert X Cringely said in Triumph of the Nerds (whichever one was the documentary of Accidental Empires, which I have somewhere) that the drive letters came from CP/M, which pre-dated DOS. |

How do you explain more advanced computing concepts to a non super user? Sometimes I remember the content, if the person doing the presenting did a good job. (And I'd use Keynote if I could :) ) On the other hand, I don't sit down and make a presentation for every question asked of me. |
