I'm a developer at Mavizon in New Albany, IN. I recently graduated from NKU with a couple of compu-science'y degrees and some math'sy stuff. I plan on going back to school soon (in 2012) to follow up with a Masters but, in the meantime I'm hacking on various Ruby projects. You can track my projects and progress to general awesomeness at my personal site.

If you ever need to get a hold of me or just want to talk nerdy stuff, you can find my contact info on (believe it or not) my personal site. :-)

I'm still wresting with the concept and syntax of port-forwarding in SSH. Can you give me an example in your answer? That would be fantastic! And I'll be glad to accept it as the answer to my question!

comment How do I keep background jobs from telling me they're done
Works great! The only issues is that it shows me the command it is disowning. Not a big deal but, I'd like to hide that too if possible. :-)

comment Simple utility to rip ISO's on Windows (7)
+1 for LC IsoCreator. I only need to perform one function (create ISOs from disk) and this tool does exactly that. Love the minimalism!

@pichoscosama Well, at this point I am making educated guesses because I'm not familiar with your setup. However, try setting youd DNS server to point to something NOT acquired by DHCP and most likely provided by your ISP. Try Google's for example (8.8.8.8 and 8.8.8.4)
