Did you even read the question?

comment How do I make a machine “blank screen” for a period of time (as a penalty) if certain noise levels are reached?
I would disrecommend taking the maximum amplitude. It's not nice for the kids when their screen goes blank just because someone clapped or something similar. Average seems more appropriate.

comment Increase page file or buy RAM?
Seriously, RAM is dirt cheap and is the easiest investment to make to make a computer faster if you have less than 2 gigs of it.

comment How do I remove the “eye symbol” from password fields in Windows 8?
@AkshatMittal: yes, but you did not note the misconception in his question: "This is really dangerous because once you click on the eye, your password is revealed.".

comment How do I remove the “eye symbol” from password fields in Windows 8?
You should note that "hiding" the password doesn't give any safety to anything but the person standing behind you while you type. So unless that person is handling the mouse to click the button no security has been breached at all. And even in all previous Windows versions passwords from "hidden" passwords fields can be trivially retrieved.

comment Difference between SIZE and SIZE ON DISK on a pc? Why is SIZE ON DISK always greater?
@happy2Help: yes it is, but it brings other benefits which are much more important: speed mostly. It's a tradeoff.

comment Windows key shortcuts stopped working
Win-Tab, Win-R, etc are not working. Strangely CTRL+ALT+DEL is not working (this might indicate malware, yes). I have disabled sticky keys myself IIRC, so don't know about that. The kb fix didn't do anything (neither of the keys was there). I'm not running any AHK scripts, nor any special launcher software. The bug always occurs, regardless of games run.

comment Prevent Windows Vista from restarting/shutting down, ever
@satuon: Taken out of context that sounds hilarious. But seriously, I don't want to bother the people at which the computer resides with this. When I get physical access to the computer again (this will be at least 2 weeks) I will set it to Windows Vista by default.

@slhck: I'm pretty sure the localization is within the executable, seeing from my hex editor.

@Breakthrough: I meant I was looking for a program that is a trustable solution for driver updating as CCleaner is for cleaning up my pc (no I don't work for CCleaners company :)).
