I'm a engineer who loves to solve really meaty problems - the ones where you usually end up frying your brains doing so.

I'm also available for consultancy - please feel free to check me out on careers or email me directly on preetsangha@gmail.com

But will it work if the script calls START? But for the problem I've outlined that's a nice work around thanks.

comment CD command not returning correct results under FOR loop
Thanks mate, that's excellent reasoning. The reason I'm using AutoRun is that setting the directory only works in the way you say for non Elevated Command prompts. If you try to an admin prompt it defaults to c:\windows\system32 unfortunately. Your Workaround is the best of all worlds thank you!

comment How can I fix a computer that is infested with malware and is extremely unresponsive?
I started taking this approach after the story of some senior MS exec asking for a friends PC to cleaned up by MS engineers and they admitted that it wasn't easy to prove that all traces were gone, and all of windows configuration was correctly reinstated. Save my self hours in family support time.
