I've been a Java developer most of my career (working, for the most part, on low-latency applications in finance). More recently, I've focused on using machine learning overtop of massive data sets for ad targeting purposes.

Beyond that, I love Linux, Clojure, Scala, Python, and messing around with almost anything technology-related that's thrown in my direction. :D

comment vim: enable folds but don't automatically close them
From tech.groups.yahoo.com/group/vim/message/119298: "With nofoldenable, all folds are open, as if they did not exist at all. You cannot interact with them. But, as soon as you try interacting with them (by pressing zc for example) you automatically set foldenable, which will apply all the folds that exist in the window."
