I like developing PHP scripts and Android apps the most, but I am probably the most knowledgeable in C/C++. I recently moved here from www.experts-exchange.com where they made it too difficult to ask questions without large bags marked with dollar signs on the side.

I have done this when I need the internet immediately. However, most of the time if I keep swapping airplane mode on and off enough times, it stays connected finally. Just super annoying.

comment Undeletable file in RedHat Linux
Once I got access to the server. I was able to remove it. Unfortunately, due to my zealousness to remove it, I forgot to check the state of the file on the local system first. Would have been interesting to see if there was a clue to the problem.

Yes, server has been rebooted. However, I do not know about the server hosting the file system. I haven't gotten access to it just yet.

@terdon No weird characters, only a-f0-9.. It has been remounted since I first noticed the file.

@terdon I mentioned the output of ls -l in the question, I had to use a as well because it is hidden. The filesystem is nfs (surprisingly). If I have access to the server it is mounted from I am going to try and delete it there instead.

From what I gather, I have to make the account local to remove the password, is that true? (I already did it, just not sure if it has to be local to have no password)

How do you remove a password for a user in windows 8? it isn't a local account, its one of those MS accounts. Not sure if I want that either honestly.

I don't want my account to have a password (and since it has no privileges, it shouldn't matter). But I want my administrative account to require a password, because it has all the privileges.
