comment Align a PowerPoint presentation (non-standard resolution) to the top of the screen when presenting
@Justin Pearce It's not really the position of the content that is the problem, it's the position of the whole slide itself. You can change the dimentions of the whole slideshow by going to Design > Page Setup. Using the Slide Master to do this does the same thing. The problem is that the presentation is narrower than the screen, much like a film where you get letterboxing. I want to move the presentation from the middle of the screen, to the top, with all the black space just on the bottom. I can post a picture if it makes it easier to visualise?

comment Laptop Auto Shutdown After Power Off
What happens if you turn it back on? Does it shutdown again, or stay on? Also, what version of Windows is on it?

This doesn't really tell you when the computer has booted up or shut down though.

comment What technical reason did Microsoft give for no Internet Explorer 9 on Windows XP?
@Synetech inc. Exactly, so what would XP users gain from upgrading to IE9? If it brings no improvement there is no point releasing it for XP. Also, I'm pretty sure most fairly modern (read: last 4 years) graphics cards support DX10, so hardware acceleration is quite a major plus.

comment My user account suddenly has a password in Windows 7
Didn't think about that at the time, but the brute force method is at least more interesting to do. Also, it works for all accounts, including Admin accounts. As people who read this question may be locked out of the Admin account, this is a more useful answer.
