comment How do I fork a process that doesn't die when shell exits?
Found this while trolling to fix an issue of my own. The (setsid emacs &) worked for me. Thanks for a well written answer.

comment Hide some functions from display in PG Admin III
Thanks Horse.. that's what I did based on your suggestion. Worked great. It moved 23 functions out of the way, out of the main schema. I only had to change a few lines of code to add the schema name to the function calls. Also, it occurred to me that this is just good house keeping by separating core functions from functions I use daily for special projects. If you had this as an answer--I'd check the box.

Thanks. Tried that. It hides ALL the functions. I'm trying to hide the only the functions of the add-on modules.

comment Utility or Script to Split Large HTML Files
Paul: I don't have a good answer to your Q the moment. There are patterns in the text. For example, maybe throw everything from the top of the file '<html> to <body>' in memory.. split the the file from '<body>' to '</body>', beginning and ending a new file at every point where an '<h3>' is found, manually paste a '</body> and </html>' at the end of each new smaller file. Seems basic, which made me think there was something that already did this.

siebz0r: The "workflow" that creates the html is a database application. It's really not in my authority to change that, so I'll have to live with getting the large file and myself.
