comment How do I stop Skype from popping up SecurityError: Error #2060: Security sandbox violation?
@Chloe Updated my answer with a different, probably better and easier approach.

What's the exact result when passing the domain name to nslookup?

comment Not able to ping to IPV6 address from Windows 7
AFAIK that just forces IPv6 to be preferred, but it's not an absolute requirement. Not 100% sure without looking it up though.

comment Will Windows 8.1 on an old hard drive work on a new machine?
@Skipher Just to note: depending on where you live, the OEM ructions might not apply and you might be able to reactivate it just fine. If in doubt, ask Dell.

There's no need to call the support. Just wait a bit here. If you've changed the ui language successfully, you'll just have to apply that to a special/hidden user to make it global. Can't look it up right now, but I'm sure someone will help you soon.

comment How to print a file from command line in Windows?
Ah okay, but one more question: Do you want to print raw file contents or do you want the command to be aware of file contents, e.g. printing a text file just as-is and an image as an actual image?

Windows 7? Or MS-DOS? Those aren't the same. Are you possibly referring to printing files from the console of Windows 7?

comment Windows XP (32-bit) system with 8GB RAM, will I still get dual-channel benefit?
@barlop IMO dual channel handling will happen on the hardware level. As such the operating system doesn't have to be aware of the feature. So, yes, it should use dual channel strategy, essentially with 2GB each stick.

What's your specific goal? Just prevent answers on some interface? Why connecting it at all?

comment I have two identical TeamViewer IDs on my 2 MacBooks
@poc That sounds really weird. Have you tried contacting their support team? This sounds like a massive bug to me (potential security issue as well), considering the actual hardware isn't identical.

@Muteking Then something blocks Filezilla (Firewall?) or there's some configuration problem.

True, confused both.

FTPS isn't really FTP, it's more like a standard SSH session. Both protocols aren't compatible/exchangeable with each other. An online tool for port scanning won't help with determining outgoing traffic though.

The screenshots are fine, don't get me wrong, I just had the impression that you had more work with them than necessary.

comment Does multitasking while transferring a huge amount of data corrupts the file?
@AthomSfere Yes, true, I wanted to use the analogy of the street having just x lanes, where you'd get a small traffic jam the more things the warehouse has to process at the same time, but actually having a limited amount of workers shared between all tasks might be even better. :)

Testing outgoing ports is trivial, but you'd have to tell us the operating system you're using.
