comment Strategy for transporting VM between home and office
How about cloning the image, using separate copies at home/work and only sync your working dit e.g. using Dropbox? If that's not an option, you might want to explain what you're doing with the VMs.

comment Anyone really understand Windows File History in Windows 10?
No, it's not based on the disk capacity. There's a fixed maximum size in the settings. The drive could be 6 TB and the limit could still be as low.

comment Anyone really understand Windows File History in Windows 10?
There's a disk space limit (similar to recycle bin). Maybe that's the culprit?

comment Why should we wipe disks multiple times?
To add: many modern SSD drives typically use internal drive encryption, so to wipe the drive all you have to do is recreate a new encryption key, which will make recovery impossible no matter the actual disk usage.

comment Bind application to a specific network interface
Is there some specific goal you're trying to achieve? By default, the game doesn't need any incoming connections to work properly. Are you trying to cheat or record/playback games?

@nilkash Have you tried switching mode back and forth? How about reinstalling/changing drivers? Or is the device not even shown in Device Manager?

comment Insalling Windows 10 on a laptop with 32GB space
You're eligible for the upgrade as long as you start setup from within Windows. It doesn't matter where/how. Just don't do a clean install by accident by booting off the USB drive.

comment Not able to ping to IPV6 address from Windows 7
AFAIK that just forces IPv6 to be preferred, but it's not an absolute requirement. Not 100% sure without looking it up though.

comment Will Windows 8.1 on an old hard drive work on a new machine?
@Skipher Just to note: depending on where you live, the OEM ructions might not apply and you might be able to reactivate it just fine. If in doubt, ask Dell.

There's no need to call the support. Just wait a bit here. If you've changed the ui language successfully, you'll just have to apply that to a special/hidden user to make it global. Can't look it up right now, but I'm sure someone will help you soon.

comment How to print a file from command line in Windows?
Ah okay, but one more question: Do you want to print raw file contents or do you want the command to be aware of file contents, e.g. printing a text file just as-is and an image as an actual image?

Windows 7? Or MS-DOS? Those aren't the same. Are you possibly referring to printing files from the console of Windows 7?

comment Windows XP (32-bit) system with 8GB RAM, will I still get dual-channel benefit?
@barlop IMO dual channel handling will happen on the hardware level. As such the operating system doesn't have to be aware of the feature. So, yes, it should use dual channel strategy, essentially with 2GB each stick.
