@afrazier, Why not simply use /mir?

robocopy c:\folderA c:\folderB /mir /it is all you need. Note that this will completely delete c:\folderB and create a new c:\folderB that mirrors c:\folderA.

Cool idea. But does this copy over "the other stuff" like file properties and etc etc?

comment Why does apache write its own process ID in httpd.pid?
@grawity, But using such "file hack" is weak and provides zero guarantee. Wouldn't things start screwing up if a user or a rogue process decides to delete the file? Or perhaps create one when nothing is running?

@LawrenceC, However this solution requires a temporary file. It's better if this could be achieved using no temporary files

comment Mouse acting funny, opening/closing tabs
@harrymc, Hmm, I tried sfc /scannow but it doesn't work. After sfc /scannow I also tried uninstalling and reinstalling the drivers but it still doesn't work. Looks like there's no way to fix this without restarting...

comment Mouse acting funny, opening/closing tabs
@OmarAsifShaikh, I think the assumption " the middle mouse button is continually pressed " is wrong. I downloaded XMouseButtonControl and disabled everything except for the left button. However, the problem persists. This shows that the assumption " the middle mouse button is continually pressed " is wrong.

It doesn't seem to be a mouse problem... I'm having this issue with touchpad too.
