I'm currently working on cleaning up my set of base classes that i use on all websites:

  • mod_rewrite Router (Testing)
  • Tree-ing (DONE)
  • Tagging (DONE)
  • Xapian (php wrapper for ORM below DONE)
  • Active Record type ORM (TESTING)
  • Flasher (for user feedback messages etc) (DONE)
  • Automatic mysql database backup util (TESTING)
  • Searchable Scanner and PDF creator (DONE see github)
    • etc

    I'm using alot of php for offline scripting too, i've written some scripts to monitor folders in the file system and react accordingly e.g. converting and normalising mp3s when they hit my ~/Music directory or notifying me when a new file hits my public folder etc.

    I'm very keen on getting my knowledge on Genetic Programming and Evolutionary Algorithms up, just finding the time to read through my uni lectures again and find my recommended reading list.
