comment RS232 Splitter For PC
Yes, RS232 splitters exist, but the ones I've seen split the other way (one computer to two devices). A search for "rs232 splitter schematic" will give you tons of designs, but most aren't what you want. An RS232 tap cable might work for you, however.

@user325521 If you can't get the SDK you could also do an experiment. Build an RS232 cable (or modify an existing one) so that only RX and GND are connected. (Not TX, that would be data from computer to device.) If the scanner works with that cable, it ought to work with a splitter.

comment Difference between File system created by fdisk and file system created by mkfs - linux
@Hieusun2011: if you're familiar with DOS, mkfs in Linux is like FORMAT in DOS, and fdisk in Linux is like FDISK in DOS. If you're familiar with the Disk Mgmt tool in Windows, it has one GUI for both but partitioning a disk and formatting a partition are still separate steps there. The basic concepts are the same, and this was intentional, to support dual-booting.

Why would you want them to? Thier use of giga- to mean 10^9 follows the usual metric definition.
