comment disable spell check when sending code in Outlook
Adding every symbol to a custom dictionary is impractical. He just wants to turn spell check off for certain messages.

comment Can't delete file even though Windows Server 2012 acts like it is deleting
Thanks. It turns out Process Explorer (which has yielded no results) is a GUI version of Handle.exe. So while I am inclined to think something has it open as well, the OS doesn't tell me another process has it locked (which is the normal message), and Process Explorer doesn't find it in the list of locked files. Still wondering what the issue is?

comment Downloading files in Windows 8 through a browser
Were you able to click the above link and have it download the file? My users are reporting Windows asks to choose which software to open the file with, but Excel is not one of the options provided. Also, they have Excel mapped to the .xlsx extension and double clicking an Excel file from their file system works fine.

@PaulR - Using Mac OS, hitting tab doesn't complete the line for me. I have used that in the past with success on another Unix machine however.

@larsks I get -bash: cd: /vol*: No such file or directory when I type that in. I am using the Terminal on Mac OS. cd /volumes changes to that directory just fine.
