comment Can't RDP from Internet to LAN Server
@Dan I'm not sure why it's saying that. I tried to "renew" but it remained the same. Do you think that's why I'm having this issue?

I've disabled the IPv4 and IPv6 firewall settings on the router.

What exactly is 10700H? I can't seem to find any specs on that. Is that basically PC3-8500 with dual channel? Just curious. Hopefully the updated memory will work in my laptop. Let me know! Thanks in advance.

@DavidSchwartz How can I find out which one I have?? Through the OS? I don't see anything on the actual physical laptop.

+1 great pointer. Please see the edit of my question. Will that memory in my update work in my laptop?

Is there any way through Windows or BIOS that I can find out which narra board I have?

I'll check that channel in a bit. So you're saying as long as its DDR2 I should be good? Even with 6200 when I currently have 4300? Just want to verify.

Wouldn't PC2-5300 be the lower clock speed? And also, how do I check if I'm running in dual-channel mode?

@kobaltz It is Home Premium. Thanks for the info, that clears it up real quick. :) Please post this as an answer and I'll accept it as the answer.

I like your answer, and I agree with your approach. I guess I was just looking for any other ways to be able to test adapters (even if in general).

Good point, but that only rules out the PC. That doesn't rule out the serial end of the hardware. You're right, that would mean the computer isn't the problem but it could still be the adapter or the hardware on the end of the serial connector.

Well it hasn't happened since. Hopefully it was just a fluke and reset some flag of some sort. Thanks for the help!
