Import custom equalizer in iPod I want a custom equalizer, not one of the built-in equalizers. |

Import custom equalizer in iPod I might try it as a last resort. I've also heard many people refute this method, so I guess it depends on the model of iPod. But still +1! |

Why is laptop with Windows 8 slow? Have you installed the drivers for your chipset, graphics, hard drive, etc? They can make a pretty big difference in performance. If not, go here: h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/…; Choose your operating system (no Windows 8 here, just choose 32 or 64 bits WIndows 7) |

Club3D HD7950 won't go over 880MHz Thank you! I'm thinking that it might be that my 12V rails don't give enough power. There are three, so I'm going to try to switch them around. Perhaps there is one cable that delivers some more power. |

Club3D HD7950 won't go over 880MHz I'll see what I can do. In the meantime you can add this as an answer, as it does appear to be a problem with the power supply. |

Club3D HD7950 won't go over 880MHz I am testing some more at the moment. I found an ATI setting that allows your card to use more power. BOINC can run at 850MHz before the core clocks starts fluctuating now. Guild Wars is able to use the stock speeds without problem now. And unfortunately, I don't have an inline wattage calculator. |

Club3D HD7950 won't go over 880MHz According to online PSU calculators, I should need about 350W with all components under full load. So even with a good margin of error, 550W should enough. Tried running at 800MHz, and it's running consistently now. |

Club3D HD7950 won't go over 880MHz Intel i5 3570K and 16GB RAM @ 1800MHz. The BOINC projects run purely on GPU and VRAM. So I don't see how my other hardware could be a problem for BOINC. |

Club3D HD7950 won't go over 880MHz There are times where I do need the extra performance. Large group fights in certain games, where my FPS will drop below 20fps for example. Also for BOINC, I run some GPU projects on there. Besides, I'm not using VSYNC or any other FPS-limiting technology, so there's no reason for my GPU to limit its clock. |

Club3D HD7950 won't go over 880MHz It only boosts for the first few seconds and then won't go boost anymore. I intend to overclock this card, and you can only modify the boost frequency. With the current issue an overclock won't be used. |

How much RAM will Windows 7 consume or reserve for cache if I install 16 GB of RAM? What will make a difference with that much RAM, is the RAMDisk you could install. memory.dataram.com/products-and-services/software/ramdisk . You can then put your TEMP folders and cache folders on there, which will make a large difference. RAM can easily read and write at 2GB/sec. |

Why does “//” instead of http or https before the actual link work? I think that nowadays they will even try https:// first. |

Over-Amplification of Volume in VLC or any Media Player harmful to speakers or a myth? (On my pc at least) 100% volume in VLC is equal to 25% volume in Windows. You can see this if you click on the sound icon. This will show you the volume of your programs in real time. |

Let task explorer always run with realtime priority I have replaced task manager with process explorer. This means that whenever I click to open task manager, it open process explorer instead. It also means there is no shortcut involved anywhere in the process. |

Set process priority to High: Dangerous? @NicoleHamilton So that's why sometimes a program will open a few instances at once if it didn't open on the first click (and you clicked a few times), because of high load? |

Is there a point in installing antivirus on Ubuntu? I always say common sense is the best antivirus. But even you yourself can't avoid all virusses. Unless it's to big of a performance impact, always install an AV! |
