I use screen-recording softwares - does GPU come into the picture?

comment how to monitor sound (or sound card) activity?
@allquixotic I mean about playback. If no playback, run this bat file. Is it too custom?

I rarely use two monitors - forget three! I don't see how I can justify dedicated graphics card. Any youtube video of the "judder" you speak of?

comment Bloated Excel file with negligible data
@Akash About 50 MB, is this acceptable? What other way I have other than enter formulas in all cells of a column if I don't have how many rows user would input?

I'm confused. Why are you mentioning two columns A and B, when I'm supposed to be concerned with only one column. Is that a typo?

@soandos oh is that the proper word? basically a way to make the monitor tilt all the way down like a laptop screen does.

comment Permanently delete files from a flash drive
no, I already know what files I need to delete. I dont usually put sensitive files on flash-drive anyway, but somebody in family did. I dont want to know throw away the flash-drive yet, since we are primarily using it at home, so I just wanted to delete the particular files.

@JonnyBoats I plan to use this flash drive at home, but it's very possible one of the family members give it to somebody else accidentally. I just wanted to be safe.

@Psycogeek Do you know of a free VNC that lets me specify "let it connect only if it's part of wired network?" I have home edition, so I dont think I have access to group policies.

comment Connecting Windows XP to Windows 7 directly using cable
@Journeyman Geek but you see I'm already past that in a way. If I had to set it up between two Win 7, then it wouldn't be a problem. (I actually did do that a couple of days ago.) The problem is Win 7 and XP mix. The problem is more about the speed than the trivial things like pinging.

the cable is the correct one, otherwise there wouldn't be any file transfer at all (or at least netperf etc wont report much higher speed). I did what you suggest - disabled wireless and still slow speed.
