comment Bulk upload RAW pictures with Picasa
I am sure, I tried it with several different pictures and therefore there should be a way to do it in bulk. Generic storage is my alternative however the nice thing about picasaweb is that you can get fast previous without downloading the whole picture.

The RAW format is kept when uploading through the webapp, it is only converted to JPEG when using the Picasa software

@Nikhil I am not sure about the speeds you should be getting but you can trying finding some tool that can test your home network connection and see if some packets are getting lost. Unfortunately I don't have any recommendation for such a software but you can try asking about one with another question on this forum.

I have considered that. There was no changes at my house and I don't know about the neighbors. If that is a case, would a newer router be much less affected by other frequencies emitted devices?

Not sure if there is a way or no, but be careful when you do this because you can burn your sensor, which is made to be exposed to light for only a few seconds (which is already long) at a time.

@unicoio If it's to turn off the screen for the whole night why don't you use the power button on the screen itself?

comment How to add some HTML widget art in Microsoft words?
@user9179 - I think the developer toolbar is only in 2007 and later version of office, but in 2003 you have other options. Click on View | Toolbars and under Forms you have the checkbox, Text Form....

comment Windows 7 recovery partition
@KCotreau If I do an clean install how will I be able to recover from the recovery partition? Asus allows me to backup the recovery on 6 DVDs (it shows how much crap they install with windows) but I hate backing up on DVDs cause they get scratched/lost easily and I cannot find a software that would backup the recovery on a harddrive. The recovery partition is hidden (i can see it in computer management) and it is almost 22GB is size.

comment Windows 7 recovery partition
I don't want to upgrade it using a tool, I want to install a clean version of windows without any of the preinstalled software found on manufacturers windows installs. I have a purchased copy of Windows 7 Pro and I want to install that version on my laptop but I wand to make sure I can go back to my original install if needed.

You sure it is your ISP that blocks all the ports and not the settings on your router and/or firewall?

comment Dell Windows 7 recovery disk, lost Cd key
From another computer you can download Ubuntu for free, burn it on a CD, boot up from it, do not install it but choose the "I want to test Ubuntu" (or something in those lines), open the terminal and sudo lshw will give you your machine SN
