comment How to depend on an upstart job from an init script on Ubuntu 12.04
What worked as a ugly work-around was adding a "sleep 3" in the "start()" function of the init script. But there needs to be a cleaner way, this is just abusing a race-condition and I'd really like to fix this the proper way.

comment Linux: Install Skype 4.0 but keep 2.2?
The statically typed version still required a lot of local dependencies for me. I went with the dynamically linked version, as it also provides a huge benefit: DBUS remote API, which is used by some plugins like e.g. bitlbee-skype.
