comment Do I need to have an updated Windows 8 / 8.1 to update to Windows 10?
I did an in place upgrade. My ISO did not work. it asked me for a serial numb3r. Perhaps I downloaded a wrong iso - there are 4 ISOs to choose and download from.

Not true. You can always use the media creation tool to download it and install it without all the updates.

comment Why does my CPU only support 32GB RAM when it has 39 address bits?
If they plan to put it in a LGA1150 package, why waste silicon on all the registers when the lines go nowhere. It is like building a 39 lane highway to a dead end.

I understand the motherboard capacity. My motherboard supports a maximum of 16GiB, but, even I I bought a high end motherboard, it would still support only 32GiB. Of all comments, it appears that Intel seems to have a hard limit, but no one has given me a certain answer. Isn't 39 bits itself a hard limit? Why have two hard limits?
