@duperuser I have added instructions for how to use it in markdown-mode.

comment How to define a shortcut (key combination) to insert “<tag></tag>” in Emacs?
@duperuser You may not want to enable that snippet for all modes but just for some modes. What modes do you want to use it in? Maybe you need a more effective way to enter xml-mode instead?

Have you got any particular reason for also wanting to kill it?

comment How to efficiently type in a pair of XML tags in Emacs?
I think the most effective way is to use snippets like in the answers to your other question: superuser.com/questions/394802/…. Also, you might want to vote on useful answers to your questions to show appreciation. You have asked 22 question but only voted on 6 answers.

comment emacs reftex reftex-create-bibtex-file ignores cites with optional arguments
old.nabble.com/… refers to the same problem. I guess this problems can be solved if one manages to redefine the regexp in the function such that [bar] is optional between \cite and {foo}. I tried to find the definition of the function by find-function but it fails

Could you please include that info and a full description of the autoload solution in the answer? I am unfamiliar with how to complete it.

comment How to open an Emacs bookmark in a new frame?
I have encountered a problem with your solution. If I try to use it before I have used bookmarks in any other way during a session I get "list: Symbol's function definition is void: bookmark-completing-read". However, if I jump to a bookmark some other way, e.g. C-x r b and then try M-x my-bookmark-jump-other-frame it works. Can this be solved?

That seems to work. Could you please include an appropriate way to bind a key for completeness? I figure that C-x C-5 b is an appropriate bind since it seems unbound and it is similar to the normal jump to bookmark, C-x r b, and also to find file in new frame.

How did you learn this? Is this change documented somewhere? It might make sense to include a reference in your answer.

@MattH That's what I did with lm-sensors as stated in the post.

comment Which gnuplot terminal type should I use in org-babel-gnuplot with latex export
@aristoex I dunno how org-mode works. In a normal LaTeX document you can use something like \draw plot[domain=0:5] function{x**2}; within a tikzpicture to draw a part of the function x².

comment What difference will GTK3 support make for Emacs?
Is release date sufficient to know that a screenshot is emacs with GTK3 and not any other GTK version? In a former comment you mentioned that Emacs with GKT3 is better in most ways, which are these way? In short, I'd appreciate more substance in your answer if that is possible.

Thanks. Could you please include the new information by incorporating it in your answer instead. It will be easier to find for people visiting this question then and it will make it a better answer.

comment What difference will GTK3 support make for Emacs?
Could you please elaborate on how it's function-wise the same, maybe you have a reference you could link? Also, maybe you could provide screenshots of how it looks better? Maybe a comparison to GTK2?
