comment JPG files are too small when converted from PDF with imagemagick
I'm glad it works. If you find an answer helpful you should vote it up by clicking the upward pointing arrow to the left of the answer. Also, you should consider to accept the most helpful answer by marking it as the accepted answer by clicking on the check box outline to the left of the answer. See faq for details.

It might be easier to give a good answer if you give more background, e.g. why you want to do the conversion you describe, what material you are working with and quality you need from results.

comment Which gnuplot terminal type should I use in org-babel-gnuplot with latex export
You could let gnuplot output data as a table and format it with LaTeX, e.g. with pgfplots.

Sorry, you're right. I've installed it now but I'm stuck in trying to figure out how to access a bookmarklet from keyconfig. How do I do that?

comment Shortcut to a manipulation of the current URL
@MichaelK iMacros does not seem to do it since macros are based on a certain URL. What I want should work for any URL (to insert a certain string a certain point in an URL).

comment Shortcut to a manipulation of the current URL
According to addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/functions-for-keyconfig it's not available for Firefox 6.0.2. So this won't do.

comment GEdit Snippets don't seem to work on remote files?
This may not be due to snippets not working in remote mode but due to gedit not updating correctly to what type of text its viewing since it works when you change from plain text to php.

Could you please provide a clearly defined test case so others can try to reproduce (and hopefully fix) your problem.

I will look into this. I'm not sure which is best to manipulate with javascript, window.location or location as indicated by the answers of that URL. If I'm successful I might write a full description of what I did as an answer (unless you elaborate your answer into one).

@MichaelK I want the keybindings to be local to Firefox. I don't mind an addon as long as it's reasonably light and stable.

@MichaelK Do you mean gnome-keybinding-properties? There's is no keybinding to what I'm after there. I'm not after something equivalent to Ctrl+L.
