comment My fingers are cold when using my computer - solutions?
I wash my hands under water slightly warmer than I normally use, warm water has a lot more heat than warm air, warms up faster.

@Isiden you mentioned /etc/hosts, which makes it sound like a UNIX machine you were editing on, and later mentioned it was the Windows equivalent. That's what @pst was responding to.

comment Differences between a modem, a wireless access point and a router
@wantSTUDY A router joins two networks, including networks of different types. So a WAP always has a router, because you're joining a wireless network and a wired one. So a WAP is a wireless network point, an ethernet connection, connected by a router, all in the same box. Usually has a NAT or a firewall too.

comment How to grep for a line that has the same number you both need and don't need
@roger34 the metacharacters \< and \> match 'beginning of word' and 'end of word'. So it can match a bare 3, but not with 300, since the 3 in 300 is not end of anything.

This doesn't add a solution, just a different webserver.

comment Is there any way to force Chrome to use https on all websites?
No, but not for this reason. Chrome specifically doesn't allow this level of rewriting. Firefox manages to do this, with a plugin that has a map from http site to https site.
