@arielnmz I know about codecs, I am certain that isn't my problem in this situation. Playing a Blu-Ray requires that the disk be decrypted, the needed software for this has to be licensed. Thus BD players are not free. My problem is that I have one that came with the computer that no longer works. I can buy another one (PowerDVD) and everything will be fine. But why drop $60 on something I shouldn't have to.

@arielnmz That is certainly not the issue. Blu-Rays can be played, just not with a specific player.

comment Notepad++ auto complete HTML end tags after </ (like Dreamweaver does)
Once again this is not what I am looking for, I am well aware of this option and it has been suggested before. This behavior is not at all what I am looking for, this ads the closing tag once the open tag is entered, and places the cursor between them. As I have noted to others, I don't want it to do that - I want it to auto complete the closing tag once I start to type the closing tag. This is a feature present in Dreamweaver, type </ and it will complete to the first unclosed tag.

I do not recommend "fiddling with some small magnet" anywhere near a computer.

Yes, which the method described above will not do. The power option keeps the device from waking windows from sleep mode - but it does not apply to the screen being asleep. Therefore devices set to not wake the computer will still wake the screen.

Devices that can not wake the computer still can wake the monitor, so this won't help.

Unfortunately this won't actually work. This prevents the device from waking the computer from sleep, but it will not prevent it from waking the monitor.
