comment Does the VGA HDMI driver use the installed sound card
@AFH Very nice. Thanks. I'll make sure I download all the tracks I can get my hands on.

@AFH I used the same software (MusicBee) on both tests. The music files were a bunch of FLAC files and I don't like to enable equalizer on the audio because it't not meant for HiFi systems. The Radeon VGA was out for fan changing and it's going to be back today. I'll test again. Maybe I'm wrong and they both sound exactly the same! Not 100% sure.

@AFH This interests me too. I couldn't hear any difference for my Radeon VGA but on the onboard it was there, although subtle. But I think the sound card does some processing on the audio and that's the reason I could hear the difference and it was obvious. So you are saying that the audio is sent to the A/V Receiver directly from the PC unprocessed?

comment Does the VGA HDMI driver use the installed sound card
@AFH As you mentioned, I want a digital output but I'm wondering which way is the correct way to go! Should I stick with my current plan? Is there a sound card with near-perfect output? Am I missing something? I've spent a lot of money but I feel like it's going to waste because of this particular issue. And I mainly use my PC's audio so a Bluray player, etc. is not an option for me.

@AFH In my question I said that the HDMI output was better than the optical output of the sound card (as you mentioned). The reason that I said that the built in player is obviously better than the inputs, is because the built in player sends the processed data directly to the output while the quality will get a little dropped from the inputs due to cable quality/processing unit (sound card, etc.) A combination of high-end sound card would have a much lower drop but it would be there.

comment Add proxy to all network traffic of another adapter
@AEonAX No I'm not looking to just sniff the traffic. I want to interfere. I want to add a proxy server in the middle to pass all the traffic through that proxy to the Xbox.

comment UPNP/DLNA music player for Windows?
@GaryO Sorry. I thought you were looking for a Server and I consider XBMC to be very light on resource considering its features. But overall, for a music player, I consider MusicBee and MediaMonkey to be the best in the market.

@GaryO How about XBMC? It supports audio as well and it's constantly developing.

comment Connect to a Wireless Network with My Friend
We both have internet connection, however the speed is low (2Mbps). We want to use this connection to create a private network to share files. Something like a shared media center.

Thanks for the through answer. My friend lives in a 4-story apartment. I think we will be able to use antenna. How much do you think it would cost? Could you name some candidates? (antenna, etc.)

comment Despite the fact that GIT does NOT store file deltas, can you still rollback to previous file versions (unlimited times?)

@ChrisJohnsen Please help me understand this. Based on what you said, can Git get similar (or better) storage efficiency than Subversion? I know that if I commit a file with little changes numerous times, 1GB worth of data can be saved in 100MB. Can Git do the same?

OK. Thanks. I get it now. Just one question, considering the lower cost of my old graphic card, wouldn't it be better if I bought one just like it and corssfired? I want to know which one gives more performance for same money?

comment An Explorer replacement for Windows with dark theme support
Thanks. I'm glad you liked my post. I'm with you on the native explorer. I like to use native File Explorer too because it is pretty much flawless in Win8. However, currently, with the reg file you mentioned and some modification in 3rd party software, I don't need much change in OS' visual style.

However, my question is not a dark VS for Windows 8. I asked for an alternative for File Explorer.

Actually, it is not a theme. UxStyle enables users to install custom visual styles. At the time I posted this question, it wasn't available for Windows 8. But now, it is. Also, there are dark visual styles for Windows 8.
