Nah, VBScript is fine too. I would just need to read up how to run it. Should be easy doable.

comment How can I generate a large amount of standarized strings in a .txt file?
Windows 7, 8, 8.1 and pretty much any open-source text-editors that come to mind, like Notepad++ or stuff like that.

I don't really want to script anything it's just the one-time deal I have to do. I don't foresee in the future to be in need of any more scripts like that. That said, a bit of scripting know-how is never bad. Thanks for the script. I'm most of the time on Win7 and Win8(.1) if that matters.

This is by far the best alternative I've found. I can suggest it to everybody. Otherwise there's Dxtory.

comment Batch-Script for copying and overwritting existing files
Awesome! That did it. Now if I may bother you a bit further. Assuming "d:\txt" is where all the files are I want to overwrite. I edit all the files in d:\new and then drop each file to the run.bat . The file might be named "testcase.txt" or "whatareyoudoing.txt" etc, but they are all also present in d:\txt and its subfolders. So, how do I go about that without constantly editing the run.bat file?

Exactly the opposite of what I want. Copying for each file is what I want to do with the batch script. I'm not going to manually copy over bazillion files.

I don't want to open another topic, so I'll bother you again Karan. Could you please take a look at PNGCrush and edit your post with another addition for PNGCrush pretty please?

I give up, I'm too stupid for this stuff. Thanks for the help with OptiPNG. Appreciate it.

I tried, it doesn't work. PNGCrush has different commands that I apparently am too dumb to incorporate. I can read the "usage" section when executing pngcrush.exe but that's...really...descriptive...

If I could bother you again, Karan. Could you do another batch file, but this time with Pngcrush as application? Don't worry much about the -xyz commands, these I'll look up myself in Pngcrus and add accordingly to the batch file! Thanks!

Yay! Thank you! Sorry to bug you again. Any way to automatically run the script each time I paste something there?

Ah yes, that works too. However I'm trying to do it in google docs, it would be great if I somehow could implement ernie's method. Because that would save me the step of removing the numbers after the = . With ernie's method, they'll be seperated in 2 columns. 1 purely text, 1 just numbers after the =. Then I can take the text column and use your method.
