Maybe you should just delete the question of not actually a real problem.

comment Swap partition size on a 64 GB RAM computer for memory-intensive work
While this answer probably suffice for most hobbyist, then it is bad advice for real servers -- the answer depends on how the application is written, because running out of swap space will cause the out-of-memory killer to kick in and terminate a process by random (yes you read that right; "random")

+1 for actually refering to kernel configuration parameters -- The key is in the part of the question If I have no swap, I get an 'out of memory' error -- which is false -- the truth is that when you run out of swap space the out-of-memory-killer will kick in and kill a random process to free up space -- so the amount of swap space needed depends on how your application is written.

comment Computer is slow to power up - how to fix?
I would suggest to disable any devices in the BIOS which you are not actually using, and see if that helps.

Looking at this picture: geeks.com/… I can see that there is a DVD drive top left above the 3.5 drive bay.

comment Network Problems of Ethernet?
@SudiptaChatterjee: I think that is what I said -- VLANs are only availble on higher end switches, and even then VLANs does not provide client isolation -- the client isolation is what you get by default when you are on a public wifi such as in starbucks

comment Network Problems of Ethernet?
Sounds about right -- there could be one more issue -- most wifi networks comes with a "client isolation" option, which when enabled prevent laptops to see each other -- that is a great way of making sure that virus from one private laptop does not spread around the school -- wired network usually does not come with that option unless you have really high end and expensive switches.

comment Is there a folder-only based music player for Linux?
xmms allows you (at least on my linux system) to drop a folder in the play list and it will pick up all tracks in that folder recursively.

Hate to be a buzz-kill, but Calibri is a microsoft product -- do you know if there is copyright on the font or whether microsoft have moved it to public domain?

comment How can I save energy when using a notebook?
+1 for actually answering the question of discharging/recharging the battery -- the answer is that it uses more power than leaving the charger in when in use

comment How can I save energy when using a notebook?
@Sylverdrag -- seems unreasonable to down vote the answer just because you disagree with the question -- there is nothing wrong with the question either when viewed objectively, however your argument of "is it worth it" is probably very fair (I don't think it is either) but that should not affect the correctness of the Q&A -- however this answer does not answer the specific OP question of discharging/recharging the battery.

comment Will my computer slow down if I install multiple operating systems?
@Icode4food - being alinux man myself, I have not had the pleasure of trying window7's XP mode, so not sure how it works, but you may be right that there is a possibility of people running both Windows7 and XP though a build in VM -- the user would be able to tell the difference from a dual boot in as much as he will be able to use both at the same time, where in dual boots you cannot.

comment Will my computer slow down if I install multiple operating systems?
@Fake Name -- good point on that not all hypervisors implement the machine in software (bare-metal), however the basis of the quetion of does the machine slow down is un affected -- ram, cpu, disk and network all becomes shared resources regardless, and hence the machine performance IS affected.

If you graphics card cannot generate the 3D format, how would the 3D movie signal reach the TV?

comment Does All VPN traffic pass trough the VPN Server or is it just for Authentication?
This is true, even if you establish a SSH or HTTPS connection over the VPN.. I.e. the VPN does not care that traffic is already encrypted, it will apply yet-another layer of encryption on the traffic.

comment Determining if a hard disk has been removed and data copied from it?
This is an internal write, where the disk keeps state of operation regardless of whether an actual write interface has been enabled (i.e. even in read-only mode) -- I think this is pretty smart way, but it needs the additional step of storing power cycle counts for disk off-box
