comment What does 1080p mean in laptop resolution?
@TomWijsman LOL okay, so if a journalist reporting on a conference for display manufacturers, or articles from the most renowned hardware sites on the internet are not enough, what sort of evidence do you want? I know it's good to be sceptical of dubious sources, but.... heh

I'll find a much more un depth explanation from Arstechnica or Anandtech that I can remember, but can't find at the moment.

@TomWijsman Anything is arguable if your standpoint is ignorance if facts. Loads of other links, I'm sure, but I'm on my phone at the moment. forwardthinking.pcmag.com/displays/…

comment What good is eSATA without a power source?
I think there are eSATA drive enclosures that also use USB for power.

comment What does 1080p mean in laptop resolution?
@TomWijsman It's actually a known fact. There was a lot of discussion about it when Lenovo moved ThinkPads from 16:10 to 16:9 screens, three generations ago, with a lot of people being very unhappy about it. Shortage of high-resolution 16:10 screens for certain models, making them hard to get hold of, forced the change.

comment What does 1080p mean in laptop resolution?
@TomWijsman The lower unit cost due to economies of scale of manufacturing TV screens has forced laptop manufacturers to move to 16:9 aspect ratio over the last three years or so, with only Apple buying in the quantities to allow it to stick with 16:10.

Now I am wondering if the recovery partition gets added a second time after installing a second instance of Windows 10, in another partition, on the same disk.

@Ramhound Maybe you should edit my answer on the linked page to include that extra information, as I am not sure what you are referring to.

comment Would ARM-compiled PortableApps work on Windows 8.1 RT?
@Ramhound I think saying that Windows RT cannot run Windows API (WinAPI) software and can only run WinRT software is more correct.

comment no-ip: same ip for all devices can not access computer files redirected to router login page (solved)
Have you got port 80 on the host you want to access forwarded to the router? You can only have one host accessible at port 80 (or any port). You will have to forward to different ports to access any other hosts, using something like http://yourdomain.com:8080.
