comment Virtual Network using Hyper-V
This appears to be a DNS issue, which the OP can easily check by trying to reach a website using an IP address rather than a domain address. eg. 209.85.231.104

comment What are the fundamental difference between the Server 2008 editions and Windows 7 Editions?
@tombull89: I thought that table was more informative than the MS one, which leaves out Starter, Home Basic and Enterprise. windows.microsoft.com/en-GB/windows7/products/compare

comment Can anyone recommend a cheat sheet for the Windows Command Prompt?
I think it would be better to get used to typing 'command /?' instead, as that also works with non-default command line programs. 'command -h' is common with linux ported programs.

I've found the forum there also very good, for help on more complex commands and scripting.

comment How do I best scale a screenshot in Gimp to avoid a blurry effect?
jpeg is good for compressing images with graduated colour, like photographs. Compressing computer graphics and text with jpeg will lead to blurriness and artefacts, especially as you increase the compression level. .gif does a much better job, and with .png you can compress 'losslessly', with the image looking exactly the same as the uncompressed original.

comment Change pixel size of multiple images!
Change pixel size? Do you mean 'change resolution' (resize- change amount of pixels), or 'change dpi' (more accurately ppi)? You cannot change the pixel size, as a pixel is a pixel. You need to change monitors to change the size of a pixel.
