I am a dedicated Christian who loves Macs. I've been homeschooled all my life and currently trying to finish up my junior year of high school. I enjoy just about anything that has to do with computers. I AppleScript and shell script a little bit.
I am currently a LAMP programmer with Inventaweb.net.
I have also been editing video for almost 8 years (yes, since I was 9). I started with iMovie HD and have since then worked my way up to Final Cut Pro 9 and Final Cut Studio. I co-founded a film company called OffBlock Films. We do work in the Central Valley and have a vision of producing a feature length film at an unknown point in the future.
You can find me on my sometimes updated blog: The Geek Tech Blog, on Twitter and on App.net.

comment How do I force Windows to check for updates?
Ah...thank you. How would I elevate permissions from the command line? (sorry, I'm a Linux guru, not a Windows person...)

This script exits with <59, 3> <null>: 0x80240044. Any idea why this fails? I've tried looking up the methods that this references, but I couldn't figure out what's happening. Can you point me in the right direction?

But what if I wanted to do an Xcode build and wanted to use the cluster? (hypothetically speaking)

No. I did a bit of research and I can't find anything. That's kinda what my question was about.

comment Can I build a cluster with Mac and Linux computers?
I'm using Adobe Premiere, but preferable I'd like a whole cluster that is computer-wide accessible. I'm trying to be open, i.e., if I ever switch away from Premiere (I've already switched once)
