comment How can I restore my /bin/bash file?
My guess is you'll have to re-install bash, but what is the output of ls -l /bin/bash*? Also this is probably better asked over at Unix&Linux StackExchange.

comment Cygwin OpenSSH closes immediately after a connection
In that case, I think your settings on the server might need checking. I see "Server refused keyboard-interactive authentication" and think that somehow manual authentication has been disabled.

Can you get it working without SSH keys? As in manually authenticate by typing in your username & password? Seems like it might be an issue with how the keyed authentication is working based on a quick look at these logs.

comment Is there a convenient way to search the archlinux aur AND the other repositories from the commandline?
For installing from AUR you can look into the helper programs like pacmatic and yaourt, although the Arch way is preferable: wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/AUR#Installing_packages

comment How to disable CTRL-C during init process?
I don't know of a way to disable ctrl-c because it is a keyboard interrupt. You may be able to hack the kernel to disable keyboard interrupts, but that would hardly fix the issue. A user with direct access could stop in the bootloader and add init=/bin/sh to the end of the boot parameters to stop the kernel boot early on. They could then remount the filesystem as read/write and modify anything they wanted on the disk. I think a better solution would be to see if you can enable silent booting so that users are unaware the system is booting until startx runs or something like that.

comment Automate *.run file install?
I'm glad that helped. I've used it for a few scripts and I'd feel so lost without it. It's a great tool IMO.

comment Can you boot an operating system into RAM disk and how?
I believe UBCD4Win boots up with a ram disk. Not sure exactly what you are trying to do here, but it may be worth investigating: ubcd4win.com

Have you tried installing the libc library on the Linux machine? That will probably solve the issue.

Glad it worked! I was kinda bummed out that it didn't seem to originally, so I'm glad you posted your results.

Good to know. Sorry that didn't fix the issue. I guess you'll have to use another solution via router and QoS or something similar.

comment Computer starts but not the monitor
Do you get any POST error beeps at boot time? If you do, look them up here: computerhope.com/beep.htm to get a better idea of what might be the issue (hook up speakers if you don't hear anything).

Have you tried connecting the monitor to another computer to make sure it still works properly? Also have you tried changing the cable to the monitor?

comment How can I throttle Netflix' bandwidth usage?
I thought it applied to all streaming, but I haven't found anything that says definitively either way. I'd give that a shot for now. If it doesn't work well enough, you can probably limit it via the router even more, maybe using QoS (if your router has it).
