In 1990, suffering from graduate-school induced poverty, I started teaching myself to program in C, then C++. Three years later I was supporting C++ engineers at Borland, then later writing windows code in Los Gatos. In 1996 I moved up to the Sacramento area and since then have worked professionally in Java, C, C#, and Delphi. I started a real estate business during the housing bubble using SEO, dumb luck and PHP. Since then I've ramped up on Ruby on Rails but found the lack of jobs disturbing, so my latest thing is blogging about .NET certification and learning ASP.NET MVC -- and what a killer example of that this site is!
