comment How can I increase the Hyper-V display resolution?
@Devid: I was jut confirming it still doesn't work at 1920x1200. My fault for the misunderstanding.

comment Can I get an alternative browser (Firefox/Chrome) on Win8 RT?
However somehow Microsoft is able to do it with Metro IE that runs under the same rules as everyone else.

This is not correct. Firefox and Google have full access to the Windows RT API and have no need to use the desktop.

No problem. I can't figure out why it's doing this.

So from a normal shutdown on the local computer it's the same? Must be something different because when I use "C:\Windows\System32\shutdown.exe /s /f /t 00", the computer doesn't come on with mouse movement. When pressing power button or just telling Windows to shut down does come back on with mouse movement.

The thing is I would think Windows would call shutdown.exe when it shuts down. What is the difference between "shutdown.exe" and pressing the power button? They both are telling the OS to shut down.

Already checked that. It's set to shut down. btw, it's quicker to do "Windows Key X" + O to get to power options.

That does work but shutting down via power button shouldn't allow the computer to come on by mouse movement.

All are disabled in the BIOS for waking the computer up. Also disabling iGPU didn't work.

Which BIOS settings would do that? To think of it, I did enable iGPU for Virtu MVP. I didn't think that would cause it though.

Ok, so I updated the BIOS to the newest version and both drives are showing. So I assume this was a bug in the BIOS?

So Amazon sent me a new motherboard and processor and everything is working as it should. Not sure how the pins on the motherboard got bent but Amazon said they won't charge me.

Ok, I tested everything again. As far as lights, two come on which are standby power LED and DRAM_LED. The DRAM_LED near the MemOK! switch lights continuously which according to the manual means the DIMS are incompatible with the motherboard. Also, when putting the CPU into the socket it appears one of the motherboard pins are bent but the POST state LED of the CPU doesn't doesn't come on so maybe it's ok. I also tried holding down MemOK! but that didn't help.

I can't remember what lights are coming on. I'll put everything back together. Just wondering, I removed the heat sink so do I have to clean the remove the thermal paste from the CPU and heatsink and reapply thermal paste? Or can I just use what was on it from earlier today?
