comment How do I set startup programs per user on Windows 8?
You have to assume some technical knowledge. What's the right level? We don't write manuals these days explaining how to move a mouse, click, start up the computer, open a basic program and manipulate windows, etc. We used to. Some people still don't know how to do those things. Yet it's fair to assume that technical knowledge. The details of how to get to Task Scheduler vary between versions of Windows...not specifying that here makes the answer more general, robust, and longer-lasting (esp. as it also works on versions other than Windows 8).

comment How do I set startup programs per user on Windows 8?
Why the downvotes? Is it unfair to assume that readers can easily look up how to use Task Scheduler if they don't already know how?

Removed article that just explains how to use Task Scheduler, since having the link but not violating copyright by copying in content offends some.

comment Can MS Word detect single-sentence paragraphs?
Word could know about certain common abbreviations (e.g. Mr., Dr., etc.) and approximate the check; its accuracy would probably be comparable to many of the other grammar checks which have a lot of holes (/occasions to use the Ignore option) too.

comment Turning off “Update page numbers only” in Word
This might update the table, but when doing (Ctrl+A, F9) wouldn't that still prompt the same question as it's not making use of the macro? This doesn't seem to get rid of the extra manual click the question seems to be trying to get rid of.

comment Not able to create a user account in Linux Mint 17 Qiana with Mate desktop
Explaining why it might work gets into the history of development of the operating system. As to why I think it's a reasonable answer, that's because I made an effort to reproduce the issue described in the question, succeeded, and doing this fixed it. I could have included more detail, but thought a concise answer would be appreciated. Of course, since I can't guarantee the setup is the same, I can't guarantee the suggested solution will work.
