comment Have I created the recovery disk from recovery partition correctly?
Thanks! I am allowed only one time to create recovery disk. So I cannot try again. But is it possible to copy the recovery partition on to a removable disk and can this be used for recovery?

comment Partitions for dual boot install Ubuntu with Windows
Thanks! Just to make sure, are these what you were trying to say: (1) if I dual install Ubuntu, the recovery partition will be of no use any more? (2) if I restore from the recovery disks created from the recovery partition, all the modification to the partitions and all the contents added to them after the recovery partition was created at factory will be gone?

I am not sure it the wizard gave clear instructions or not. Could it be possible I accidentally launch the wizard twice? But in the end when I was told the process was finished, I had three DVDs. The first two were called disk 1 and disk 2. I updated my post to give pictures of how they looked like.

Thanks! I clicked the recovery partition and followed the instructions to burn the CD. I have created more than one CDs. The first two were both called disk 1, and now the third is called disk 2, by the wizard. So I am still confused what the whole creation process is like.

@Moab: there are three terms here: size, size on disk and used space. both Mikel and Rhys explained size and size on disk are different. But in comment I asked if size on disk and used space are same.

Thanks! After unchecking that, selecting all contents and clicking property, it shows 50.3 GB for size and 50.9 GB for size on disk. Both are still smaller than 59.3 GB got by clicking property of C:. Do you know why?

Thanks! 1. I have setup to view all hidden files and directories. Are page file, hibernate file and possibly others therefore viewable? If not, how to select them? 2. So "size on disk" and "used space" are same?
