The Internet connection on Debian breaks often, Internet connection is fine on Windows Dynamic or static IP? Verified that the no other systems are contending for the same IP? Checked the logs on your web server? |

Google earth with and without a proxy Sorry - certain apps need to have something added to their config files in order to do exclusions. I'm not familiar enough with Google Earth to be of much more help. |

Does 1 Gbit/s port in full-duplex mean 1 Gbit/s send and 1 Gbit/s receive? @Zan Lynx - if this question had been posed on serverfault I would have responded a bit differently. I didn't see a reason to get into the specifics of drive limitations for the scope of the question. :) |

Does an external hard drive need to have partitions? Yes - at that point you should be able to create a an encrypted volume out of the whole disk. |
