comment Does my ISP know what sites I am visiting?
I was answering the question first and then correcting some of the mis-information others answers were putting forward in order to provide a more accurate picture. I don't believe it is common. The fact is that this has actually happened - a gmail certificate was issued and at around the same time an internet backbone routing attack occurred driving gmail traffic through very abnormal routes - perhaps a coincidence. Here's an article on the gmail cert in case you missed it. pcmag.com/article2/0,2817,2392063,00.asp

comment Delete certificate for specific website
I don't have this issue with Chrome and github. Some of the suggestions below are off base. Copy and past the URL from the Chrome address bar here so we can see (actually from the address bar in Chrome or it's a waste of time). Also if you know how please provide the IP address your computer things it maps to (ie ping (or dig or nslookup) github.com and show the IP displayed.

comment Why must all the data in a storage device be lost when its file system is changed?
I never have. I rarely change file systems on a device that is in use; if I had to then I would back-up the volume, change the file-system, and restore the volume.

comment Verifying Certificate using Mac Terminal
verify-cert is used to verify a cert not display details. I think this answers your question "I'm trying to know how to verify a certificate using this command". If you mark this question as answered and ask another I will be happy to answer that one too the same way (reading the documentation for the OSC security command...). Cheers.

Who is the Issuer of the certificate you see when you go to LinkedIn? Do you use a proxy server? Are you at home or work or college?

comment Is windows remote desktop secure?
Security is almost always described in terms of probabilities not absolutes. It is not secure against your roommate, it is secure against my dog. First you should characterize things like the cost to you of failure as well as the value to an attacker of compromising.

comment How can I permanently suppress sites from google search results
Thanks. I do adblock but that doesn't affect the list of results that G shows for searches nor in news etc.

comment Is it really possible for most enthusiasts to crack people's Wi-Fi networks?
The most common time a computer exposes it's MAC address is when it uses a network connection - not really rare. As for obscure - it is not obscure relative to the context of the question which is what an enthusiast could do which presumably includes web-searching effectively.

comment List files in a tarball over internet
This has the benefit of requiring virtually no network transfer aside from the text listing of contents.

comment Removing one of two certificates with equal nicknames
Duplicate the DB. Export one from the DB, delete one from the DB [these will most likely be the same one], export one from the DB, delete one from the DB. Compare the two and add back the one you want. For further help please answer two questions: 1) Where did you get them from in the first place? 2) Why do you think you need to delete one of them? - ram

comment How to make Google Chrome not to check system clock or certificates at all?
I need a bit more info... what do you mean by not check the system clock.. you mean read the time at all? Chrome, like many apps, uses the clock for a wide variety of things. Preventing that would break many things in Chrome. What do you want to do that you need to change the clock?
