comment Solution to stack laptops safely
Thanks for your answer. This is the route that I have ended up going down in the end. It's not wood and bricks, but what I've ordered is actually designed for storing shoes and clothes. I paid £50 for 26 metal sheets that are just about the right size, but I'll use less than half to build the laptop rack so it is actually a good deal - if it works... I'll post here if it does. It's still not a perfect solution even if it does work though

I feared that it might be closed to be honest - it may be more suited to a traditional forum rather than a Q&A website, but I thought it would still be worth a shot as the only products I can find are expensive and overkill for my needs.

comment Water speakers without the sound output?
Thank you for your detailed answer. My main issue was that I wasn't actually sure on the technical details even though I knew about the physics of the sound. I knew I could produce sound of a frequency outside the human hearing range, but I didn't think about the limitations of the circuitry in the speakers... there was me thinking I was being clever.

comment Water speakers without the sound output?
Thanks for this, I knew it could be done by physically changing the circuitry but I didn't really want to have to take them apart and I also wanted to be able to hear the sound when I wanted to, but from @Psycogeek's answer it looks like it's the only way so I'll just have to implement a switch

comment What are the benefits of using a proxy?
@antik My apologies. I have editted my answer as I must have been typing too fast and forgot to add a vital keyword! I added that statement as I intended to clarify that this was not how a proxy worked due to the fact it was mentioned in the question. I've also changed the langauge to rectify the ambiguity about encryption.

comment Can I import my emails from Outlook 2010 to the Windows 8 mail app?
@magicandre1981 Well that's a shame. Is there a third party application that will allow me to do this? I know I could install Outlook 2010 but I'd have preferred to use the Mail app.
