comment Retina Macbook Pro 13 & Linux VMs?
thanks for the comment but in my case it was VMWare workstation 10 (with the tools installed) and Lubuntu and it still didn't work correctly. Hopefully the story works better with Lubuntu installed in Parallels on the rMBP i just ordered.

I don't think that is going to work. I have used process monitor many times but either i would have to keep it running for days (never tried that before) or i would have to look at it right when the file is written out.

comment Core i7 & x58 overclocking?
thanks for the reply but most of what you said i already know. I currently have core quad & 3.8ghz that i have (2GBX4) = 8GB (all slots filled). I just want to make sure i'm not going backwards with my upgrade since i probably pretty quickly will go for 12GB. I was just wanting to know with Corei7/x58 generally how things were. I know quad cores in general are harder to overclock but it doesn't mean it can't do it.

Umm i'm not trying to start a war here but.. Did you happen to read this question? or just read a few words? I understood your closing of my first post and didn't complain but this post should have not be closed. It is in NO way similar to my earlier post EXCEPT for the topic SSDs. I also did a search and there also isn't ANY other other post i could find similar to what i wrote. Maybe you should consider whether your close happy behavior is alienating very users your trying to attract. I know i won't be coming back. This is the only of your 3 big sites that i have had problems.Tweeting away.
