Thanks for professional answers. p.s. Are you saying that I should never trust this command $ gpg -v --use-embedded-filename test.gpg ( just want to extract to the original filename) Im asking this due to the linux sample....Also , didn't understand why I can't use --decrypt with --use-embedded-filename

do you know if in the pgp file , the original filename is stored ? ( for example john encrpyt 1.txt and send it to me as 1.pgp..... can I know - when decrypt - what was the original filename ? )
