comment TRIM on non-SSD RAID?
@Ƭᴇcʜιᴇ007 Hi, not running Symantec Endpoint but that servers is running ESET File Security for Servers 4.5 And thanks for the comment, I was basically looking to see if there was any reason TRIM may be enabled rather than a solution to the actual issue. I realized after the other events TRIM probably had little to do with the lockups.

comment Batch file - start program with admin rights
This worked for me on Windows 7 Pro on a non-domain system. Thanks for the tip, I used gpedit.msc to add the script to my user account and now it runs as admin on startup.

comment ubuntu 10.04 command “# type php” returns nothing
If PHP is installed in /usr/bin on server2 as well, try echo $PATH from the command prompt and see if /usr/bin is not in your path for some reason.

comment Is installing Windows 7 in-situ (on a machine running Windows already) less clean that installing at boot time?
Updated answer to address your question. Hope that helps.

comment Window-scrolling suddenly began to “drag”. What should I do?
If it just happened recently, it is possible to try a system restore to an earlier date when you know things were working. But I would only try this if you are unable to locate the correct video driver or get it to automatically install from device manager. In some cases, a missing graphics driver like that can also be a sign of malware, but not necessarily.

Usually the model is on a sticker on the bottom of the laptop if they haven't been removed. The manufacturer name is probably printed on the case somewhere. The model may be around the bezel of the screen or near the keyboard sometimes too. If the laptop is sold in china then the stickers may all have the model in chinese too.

comment Memory is being appropriated
If you set Internal Graphics Mode Select to Disabled and Boot Graphic Adapter Priority to PCI Express/PCI do you get it all back? Also, you are running a 64-bit OS correct?
