I'm an idiot. Don't mix with concentrated dihydrogen monoxide.

comment W530 separate microphone/headphone input/output
Actually, the sound driver may have the option to treat internal and external mic/speaker separately. You can check the control panel of your sound card driver. Enable expert mode if there is one since the option may be hidden by default..

No matter what you do, I would strongly suggest you make a full disk backup using Clonezilla or similar tools.

comment How can I open notepad as Admin only using Win + R window?
I use the start menu search box method very often that I've already abandoned the run dialog. I disabled file search for that box to make it fast and now its only purpose is to run programs in start menu and %PATH%. If you can do it so conveniently with the start menu, why would you still need the run dialog? @Realo33

comment External HDD doesn't show up in /dev on raspberry pi
If the hdd is directly powered by USB, forget about filesystem format. The RaspberryPi cannot really output enough power to spin up the hdd, probably causes a voltage drop when plugged in thus the reboot. The hdd may not get enough power to keep itself in normal operation, so the USB device won't even let the host detect it.

I don't think corrosion can create new paths. It is more likely that paths will be destroyed, isn't it?

RAM is volatile not because it have to be volatile, it's because the technology it used is volatile.

It is not very good to put the "solution" on the "question". Instead you can write your own answer if it is better than existing answer(s). :)
